Abstract

BACKGROUND:

Fractures of the humeral greater tuberosity (GT) are a frequent injury progressively treated with arthroscopic suture anchor repair. Yet, no biomechanical study has been performed comparing fixation strength of arthroscopic single- (SR) vs. double row (DR) fixation.

CONCLUSION:

The results suggest that both techniques are viable options for refixation of greater tuberosity fractures.

Resumen

ANTECEDENTES:

Las fracturas de la tuberosidad mayor humeral (GT) son una lesión frecuente progresivamente tratada con reparación de anclaje artroscópico de sutura. Sin embargo, no se ha realizado ningún estudio biomecánico que compare la fuerza de fijación de la fijación artroscópica simple (SR) frente a la hilera doble (DR).

CONCLUSIÓN:

Los resultados sugieren que ambas técnicas son opciones viables para la refijación de fracturas mayores de tuberosidad.
